Rwanda is a landlocked East African country with a green, mountainous landscape. Its renowned Volcanoes National Park is home to mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. The park encompasses 4,507m-tall Mt. Karisimbi and 4 other forested volcanoes.
Rwanda is home to a huge diverse population of animals including mountain gorillas and the world’s largest natural park for hippos – some 20,000 are believed to be there.
Tour groups are led by an experienced guide who specializes in teaching others about the landscape and wildlife of Rwanda.
Plastic bags are banned in Rwanda, and tourists are instructed not to bring them to the country.
